Juniclair Foundation
The Juniclair Foundation
The Juniclair Foundation wishes to dedicate its resources to supporting and accompanying development aid projects in the fields of education, women’s protection and environment.
The Juniclair Foundation was created in 2007, under the impetus of Charles and Marianne Ruggieri. It was then decided to manage the foundation with the rigor of a company: thanks to clear corporate governance, monitoring of projects, and precise specifications.

Since its creation, the Foundation has been based on the principles of hard work, discretion and humility, which are those of the group as a whole. Juniclair was originally set up as an association and an endowment fund. In 2013, the association was transformed into the Juniclair Foundation, which was then recognized as a public utility by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Since January 2024, the Foundation has enjoyed NGDO status. Today, Claire Ruggieri is the President of the Juniclair Foundation. The third generation of the Ruggieri family is already involved in philanthropic projects supported by the Foundation. 18 Since its creation, the Foundation has followed a clear roadmap and a project-based approach.
Project selection
- Rigorous and consistent selection of projects supported
- Understanding needs
- Choice of partners in the field

Work method
- An annual visit to meet the teams and beneficiaries
- Professional support for actions carried out in the field
- Promote the autonomy of supported organizations (aims to reduce costs, defining a roadmap, etc.)
Monitoring progress
- Clear, detailed reports
- Measuring the impact on beneficiaries

The Juniclair Foundation’s fundamental rule of operation is to understand local needs rather than apply a predefined plan or objective. This presupposes a good understanding of local issues, which is made possible by working closely and in trust with our partners.
Projects are set up for the long term, with each geographical area invested for a minimum of 5 years.
